Rethinking recognition and rewards
Employers today are being forced to acknowledge the modern challenges that impact their workforce and take steps to support them in new and different ways.
In some respects, employers are caught between a rock and a hard place, with many focused on containing costs, yet they realise that they also need to do whatever they can to attract, retain and engage their talented employees.
Whilst competitive reward packages are vital to attracting and retaining talent in this highly competitive labor market, it’s time to take a broader look, and employes need to take wellbeing and employee preferences into consideration.
Employers need to do more to address and align non-financial rewards to employee preferences and needs. As a result, employers need to offer preferences at an individual level, rather than on a corporate level which may not hit the mark.
What are you doing to address the challenges to attract and retain staff? We would love to hear about your strategy to meet these challenges within your business.
